Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager

Role
Confluentia is currently seeking a senior business analyst / project
manager. The successful applicant will work on a range of
high-visibility projects at major investment banks across a wide
spectrum of financial products. Typical projects include designing and
implementing in-house or vendor systems, integrating multiple
businesses into a strategic technology suite, and streamlining business
and system processes.
The successful applicant will be highly analytical and adaptable,
personable, and a self-starter who is motivated by working in a collaborative environment with significant opportunities for industry exposure and career development. Although
projects are typically based in New York City, some may require travel
or longer commutes.
Responsibilities:
- Performing scoping and gap analyses
- Analyzing and documenting business requirements
- Producing detailed functional specifications
- Creating detailed project plans in collaboration with IT
Candidate must have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher
- A minimum of 7 to 9 years experience as a business analyst or project manager in capital markets
- Excellent oral communication and people skills
- Strong writing and documentation skills
Desired but not essential are:
- Formal project management experience or qualifications
- Advanced MS Excel and Access
- Experience with designing and building n-tier software applications
